Finding diverse people to hire while important, is not the end of the hiring process. We also want to ensure that the people we hire feel welcome and as though they can show up to work and be their authentic selves.
Onboarding can be the point when hiring managers feel their work is complete. However, to retain talent, the onboarding process needs to be considered as a key point at which to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion.
This third part of our series provides specific information on how to onboard with the best chance of keeping diverse talent. Written materials and tools will be provided.
We've partnered with Leah Shumka, Manager of Sexualized Violence Education, Prevention and Support at the faculty of Equity and Human Rights, UVic to explore DEI in an interactive format with actionable next steps.
Please take the time to share your questions with us as part of the registration process so that we can make this session as applicable and actionable as possible.
We want to make this session as accessible as possible and continue this work in our community. All ticket sales directly fund the continuation of our DEI education offerings.
